Happy April! This glorious Spring month is overflowing with new life! Have you been outside enjoying Natures Beauty ? Now is the time to plant a vegetable garden, bask in the warm sunshine and appreciate colorful fields of wildflowers. Spring is the perfect time of year to make your environment even more beautiful.

Do you know that April is Celebrate Earth month ? That’s right! This season of Spring that brings forth such a dazzling array of color and freshness also brings about renewed awareness of the fragile balance of our environment with all of life. Here at Pine Knoll Farm, we like to Celebrate Earth Month by doing our part to Be Eco-Friendly. Yep - That’s our Joy ! Embracing Earth-Friendly habits and practices.

We have been planting, composting, recycling and installing solar panels in the barn. What can you do to make the area you live in clean, beautiful and ecologically balanced? Why not plant an organic garden, compost or learn how to conserve water and energy ? You can do your part to put an Eco-Friendly Stamp on the Earth by eating local, organic and free-range.

Reduce - Reuse - Recycle

April 22nd is Earth Day. Over 190 countries celebrate this opportunity to increase awareness and appreciation of the earth’s vast splendor and promote Eco-awareness. Ecoawareness is having a clear vision of how to keep your environment healthy and ready for the future. You can be Earth-Friendly by bicycling, carpooling or walking to your destination.

Why not host or attend a delicious “Picnic for the Planet” Celebration !

Can you believe that the month of April is already upon us ??? WOW! The year is surely flying by. We’ve celebrated new beginnings, everlasting love, and even explored how a little smile can go a long way. We’ve taken matters of the HEART and molded them in a way that we can help bring PEACE to the world. Do you have the COURAGE to take it to the next level and continue making an impact in this Big world? Let’s talk a little about COURAGE and how this attribute can help you to change the world around you.

COURAGE comes from the French word le COEUR which means HEART. Doesn’t it seem fitting that to find Courage you must dig deep down into your Heart? Just like the Cowardly Lion from the classic Wizard of Oz movie, if you want Courage you have to reach deep within yourself to find it. The Lion did not believe that he was Brave enough to step into his natural role of King of the Forest. He follows the yellow brick road with Dorothy and seeks to get his Courage from the great and powerful Wizard of Oz. What a surprise when the Cowardly Lion discovers that the Wizard is not a Wizard at all, just an ordinary man ! The Wizard wisely assures the Lion that he has Always had Courage Within Himself. Nothing external could ever give the Lion what he Believed he was lacking. He had to find it within himself by tapping into his own wisdom, guidance and intuition.

You may be asking yourself “HOW can having more Courage change the world???” The answer is, that COURAGE will give you the strength to fulfill your DESTINY! Courage gives you the determination to reach your full potential. It will help you to be Fearless in a world that is often overcome with tragedy. It will give you the GUMPTION to stand up for what you believe in - in the face of fear, opposition or discouragement. Being COURAGEOUS is taking the Impossible and turning it into the Possible. It gives you the AUDACITY to pursue your dreams in spite of what others may say. Will you choose to cultivate the Courage to speak the Truth and Act with Integrity in your own unique way ?

As small ponies in a herd of large horses here at Pine Knoll Farm, we hold our ground with Courage and assertiveness from within. True courage requires a balance between strength and sensitivity. Courage in combination with humility is what will make a GRAND impact on those around you. Do you have the courage to promote peace and happiness in the lives of those around you??? Dig deep into the core of your being and find the Bold Courage it takes to make a difference. That’s our joy! Finding the Courage to stand up for what we believe in and taking action in spite of fear or uncertainty!
